NYSE and Euronext Plan to Merge Markets
The New York Stock Exchange is merging with the European stock market Euronext. The deal would create an international stock trading network, with outposts in the U.S. and across Europe. The move is the biggest so far in a trend toward cross-border stock trading.

DeSano taking new role at Fidelity
BOSTON (MarketWatch) - Fidelity Investments' Scott DeSano, head of the stock trading desk and one of 14 employees reportedly disciplined last year amid a federal probe into gift-giving and business entertainment from brokerage firms, is being moved to a new role in the company, Fidelity said Monday.
