TOKYO, Aug 22 (Reuters) - Japan’s Mizuho Securities has demanded $350 million in compensation from the Tokyo Stock Exchange in connection with a massive trading error last December, the head of the exchange said on Tuesday.

'Specialist' Trading Firm LaBranche Down
LaBranche & Co. stock fell Friday after the large stock-trading company forecast a net loss for the second quarter. Shares of LaBranche fell $3.02, or 24 percent, to close Friday $9.42 on the New York Stock Exchange. The shares fell as low as $9.30 earlier in the day.
