European stocks strike new highs
The London FTSE 100 gained 0.39 per cent to close at 6444.40 points, its highest closing level since November 8, 2000. In Paris the CAC 40 index rose 0.46 per cent to 5739.90 while in Frankfurt the Dax added 0.43 per cent to finish at 6987.08.
