Elaine Hilsenrath, a Manhasset resident for 40 years, died after a valiant fight against breast cancer on April 6, 2007. She was the devoted wife of Joseph and the proud mother of Craig, Shelley, Dan and Jon. Her children all graduated from Manhasset High School and have gone on to successful careers in computer programming, technical writing, stock trading and journalism.
