China shares stall, volume modest after record hit
SHANGHAI, July 26 (Reuters) - China’s stock market hit a record high on Thursday but came well off its peak by midday, as many investors remained wary of pushing prices up sharply because of concern about high valuations and government policy.

Malaysia stock trading halted on technical glitch

LaBranche Down After Forecasting 2Q Loss
LaBranche & Co. stock fell Friday after the large stock-trading company forecast a net loss for the second quarter. Shares of LaBranche fell $2.47, or 20 percent, to $9.97 in morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
