U.S. optimism pushes Nikkei higher

TOKYO, Japan (AP) -- Tokyo stocks closed higher Wednesday for the fifth straight session. The dollar was higher against the Japanese yen and the euro. The Nikkei 225 stock average rose 53.08 points, or 0.47 percent, at 11,329.67 points to finish the day. Link to original article
