TAIPEI, Dec 4 - The Taiwan dollar ended flat against the U.S. dollar on Tuesday amid volatile domestic stock trading and as foreign banks took profits in the local dollar after its strong rise last week.
Judge rules in favor of developer in lawsuit
U.S. District Court Judge Keith Starrett issued a ruling Wednesday in favor of Laurel-based developer Nick Welch, who is suing three members of The First bank's board of directors over allegations of insider stock trading.
Wall Street gave up a moderate gain in late trading and closed marginally lower Monday after the Federal Reserve and other central banks added more cash to their banking systems, helping investors set aside some concerns about credit tightness.

McDonald's Corp. shares rose Monday to their highest point in four years after receiving an upgrade from Wall Street one day ahead of what investors hope will be a strong February same-store sales report from the fast-food behemoth.
