Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) has issued a statement after prosecutors raided the company looking into allegations of insider trading. The company contends that its acquisition of Uniwill Computer is fully legal and said it has no information regarding illegal insider stock trading. The company will cooperate fully with prosecutors in conducting their investigation.
US STOCKS-Futures rise on earnings; housing data eyed
NEW YORK, April 24 (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures rose on Tuesday as several major corporations reported earnings that beat analysts' estimates, but data on housing and consumer confidence shortly after the open may determine the market's direction.
