SEC: Local residents allegedly bilked in investor scam
The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed civil fraud charges against two promoters who allegedly made millions selling a get-rich-quick stock trading system they touted on TV and at investor workshops at hotels in dozens of cities nationwide.

Dow, Nasdaq head toward lower opening
U.S. stock futures fell Thursday, pointing to a slightly lower opening of regular stock trading, as investors were expected to shore up positions before a three-day weekend.

Today the Ukrainian stock market remained almost frozen, Tiger Asset Management reported. By noon, 67 trades were conducted with only some 11 deals during the trading period. Total trading volume made up $4 million.
