An informal Securities and Exchange Commission inquiry into stock trading by the two top executives at ChoicePoint appears to have turned into a full-blown investigation. Evidence of that shift hinges on a subtle wording change used in an SEC filing this week by the Alpharetta, Ga.-based data warehousing company.
