NYSE Euronext Hires UBS Executive
NYSE Euronext Inc. is hiring a UBS AG trading executive to help it boost its U.S stock trading business. The exchange company announced Thursday that it was hiring Lawrence Leibowitz as executive vice president and chief operating officer for U.S. products.

Four leading French banks and the state banking group Caisse des Depots (CDC) have decided to abolish their shareholder pact within the stock market operator Euronext ahead of schedule to recover their voting independence, they said.
